Perk Up Your Mood with Lip Color, Eye Color & Cheek Color

compact_hero.jpgThat title is an effort to get your mind off of the gloomy stuff being thrown at us lately in the news here in the USA and around the world. It doesn’t have to be this way.

We DO have some control over our reactions and thoughts. One of the things that helps me is to think of vibrant, lively colors and how I can use them in my everyday life to perk things up.

What colors make you feel better? How can you take those colors with you everywhere you go everyday? One answer to that is by wearing them on your eyes, lips, and cheeks.

Which colors work best at lifting your mood? Not sure? Then how about uploading your own photo for a Virtual Makeover to determine which eye, lip, and cheek colors will work best with your eye, hair, and skin color?

When you find the colors best suited for you that lift your spirits, place your order right there online. Or, if you prefer, Contact Me via email or phone.

The Portable Lighted Makeup Mirror You’ve Been Looking for is Here!

Oh happy day! I finally found another makeup mirror very much like the Clairol lighted makeup mirrors.

With the proliferation of luxurious spa baths in homes these days it seems portable lighted makeup mirrors have become a thing of the past. I have looked for one in the department stores in my area to no avail.

After searching shelves everywhere else I found the Jerdon JGL9W 5X Magnification Tri-fold Lighted Mirroronline at Amazon where I was also able to save on my purchase with FREE shipping. (With Amazon who needs to be so dependent on oil companies these days to shop, huh? ;-))

I really like this jewel with an electrical outlet included on the front bottom left. I use the outlet for my blow dryer and hot curling brush. But, hey, think about the endless possibilities, girls!

You can even plug in your Blackberry or iPhone charger and charge it while also keeping it close at hand to take your phone calls, listen to music, watch videos, text your friends and family or whatever you do most with your cell phone while at the same time applying your makeup!

Ahhh, modern technology and electrical amenities…who can live without them these days? But I digress. So what else is so special about this mirror?

It has four different light settings:

  • Day
  • Evening
  • Office
  • Home
  • My personal preference is the Day light setting.

The 5X magnified mirror on the flip side is perfect for you to tweeze eyebrows; apply mascara, eye liner, eye shadow, brow pencil, lip liner, lip color and lip gloss; and attend to skin care issues that require a little more TLC than what your daily skin care regimen addresses.

The stand (located on the backside) is adjustable to 10 different angles. The two side mirrors double as doors to close the mirror for storage or packing for travel.

Speaking of packing it for travel, this isn’t necessarily a mirror you would want to carry along for just a quick overnight trip unless, of course, you’re getting together with your girlfriends for your own private makeup and spa pajama party.

However, if you’re going to be traveling someplace for a few days, weeks, or months where you know you won’t have access to a modern spa bath with lighted mirrors and other amenities, then this lighted makeup mirror will meet your needs quite well.

It’s 11 3/4 inches tall, 9 3/4 inches wide when the side view mirrors are folded in, and 2 inches deep making it an all purpose mirror easy to pack and carry with you on trips.

There are plenty of the round makeup mirrors on a stem stand with a round base, but that type doesn’t fit my wishes and needs. I want one that I can setup on a vanity table or dresser, keep plugged in at all times, and easily see to apply my makeup and style my hair. The round mirrors of course don’t provide the mirror real estate needed to accomplish all that but this one does.

Don’t wait any longer! These might not be around for very long all things considered. Click here to get your —–> Jerdon JGL9W 5X Magnification Tri-fold Lighted Mirror now!

Humorous & Informative Hair Color Tips from SoYouWanna.com

I love a good sense of humor so after searching for haircolor how-tos and coming across this humorous gem of a hair color how-to from SoYouWanna.com I decided to share it with you all. It’s a MUST read as it’s not only comical, but also very informative.

Here’s the start of the article with a link to the rest:

To dye or not to dye? It’s an age-old question. Bleach-happy Ancient Greek heroes reddened their hair into a fiery symbol of courage, while their Roman counterparts used natural dyes to darken their locks. During the 1700s, French women used powder to tint their tresses shades of blue, yellow, pink and white (punk rock pioneers). Today, about half of all American women color their hair, and men are getting in on the game in record numbers…more
