Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, yes?
The age old saying that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder is definitely true, but additionally beauty comes first from within us. Whatever radiates from within us reflects in the eyes of the beholder. Our attitudes, thoughts, feelings and overall outlook on life affects our image and appearance. That being said…
A positive healthy outlook on life in general will exude joy, happiness, and optimism through bright eyes, a smile, upright posture, and what some would call a “glow”. We radiate to those in our presence whatever we feel within our hearts and project in our outer appearance which sets the image held in the eyes of the beholder.
For many of us our desire is to enhance the physical aspect of that radiance. To do so we need to start with the basics of taking care of our skin which is often referred to as the canvas of our outer beauty.
You wouldn’t jump right into a painting project without first cleaning the surface and clearing it of anything that would detract from the desired finished result. Neither should you skip the steps to cleanse your skin, exfoliate to remove dead skin cells, tone and refresh it to close up pores, and protect it from damaging substances.
It’s important to first know what your skin type is in order to select the products that will best cleanse, exfoliate, tone, and refresh your skin. There are three skin type categories which are commonly referred to as dry, normal, or oily.
