Combination skin is characterized by normal to dry skin with even pores in the area of the cheeks, and oily skin with medium pores in the area of the forehead, nose, and chin also known as the T-zone. The T-zone may begin to appear shiny within a couple of hours of cleansing. Blemishes are more apt to appear in the T-zone due to the buildup of oil that blocks the pores.
